The Strengthening Digital Security Capacity for Enhanced Civic Action addresses the critical challenges of shrinking civic space in Uganda and threats to civic and democracy activists. The project bolsters the digital resilience of AFRAD and strategic partners by developing secure online platforms, enhancing cybersecurity practices, and training staff and volunteers in digital safety, ensuring they continue their online advocacy work effectively and securely. The partners include journalists, gender equality, women’s rights, and good governance activists. The partners will also be trained in communications and storytelling to enhance their online advocacy. Strengthening Digital Security Capacity for Enhanced Civic Action is co-funded by the European Union and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark through CIVICUS.
