We enhance knowledge leadership by producing valuable knowledge products to inform policy-making and strategic investments in gender equality, women’s empowerment, media rights, freedom, and governance. Our stream of work in this area comprises;
- The Gender Context Tracker provides gender-context analyses of issues critical to sustainable development. Whether political, social, economic, cultural, or environmental, we generate critical knowledge through gender-transformative approaches to inform public policy and discourses.
- The Gender and Media Scorecard tracks and documents media coverage of gender equality and women’s rights. The Scorecard examines what is reported, how it’s reported, what is not reported, why, what is changing, what is not, and why, and their implications for gender equality, women’s rights, and civic organising in Uganda.
- The ‘My Story’ series, presented in all forms, such as text, video, or audio, is a powerful tool to decolonise research. Call it anthropological research, but not in the traditional sense because such research is ‘heavy’ and expensive. Rather, we leverage storytelling to give voice and a platform to individuals who otherwise would not have one to tell their stories and lived experiences.
